Gardaí are continuing to question a man in relation to a shooting incident in Ennis in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
The man in his mid-twenties was arrested in Ennis yesterday, and has been questioned by Gardai in the town under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.

Shots were fired at a home on Childers Road in Cloughleigh shortly before 5 a.m. on Wednesday January 1st – a family were inside the property at the time, but escaped without injury.
The man is the second person to be arrested in connection with the shooting – a 46-year old man was arrested on New Year’s Day, but then released without charge.
