Phase Two of flood alleviation works in Ennis are expected to get underway shortly.
The Finance Minster has signed off on almost 13 million euro in funding for the second stage of the Ennis Drainage Scheme which covers an area from Bank Place down to Doora Bridge.

Welcoming the news Clare Fine Gael TD Pat Breen says that when completed the work should prevent further flooding which has caused a lot of hardship in December 2009
Junior Finance Minister Brian Hayes is expected to travel to Clare next week to officially launch the Scheme.
