Security presence at Clare’s COVID-19 testing centre has been increased following a spike in demand at the facility.
The Ballymaley centre is opening at 11.30am every day for scheduled appointments, with unscheduled drive-thru testing available to members of the public between 2pm and 6pm.
It’s understood traffic volumes at the centre experienced a significant increase yesterday as the HSE continues to deal with the aftermath of the ransomware attack, with cars backed out on to the main Gort Road.

Co-ordinator at Ballymaley testing centre, Aoife Spillane, says while demand is high, it is being controlled.
