Servisair Staff to Vote on Proposals

Ground Handling staff at the Servisair Company in Shannon are expected to vote on cost cutting proposals today which could include 20 redundancies.

Talks have been taking place throughout the week aimed at securing significant cost reductions and a company spokesperson said they aim to avoid redundancies if possible.

However Clare FM understands that some full time staff are being asked to take part time positions, causing concern among some 80 workers at the airport.

Yesterday, ground handling company Sky Handling Partner confirmed they’re making 26 people redundant at Shannon Airport due to the decline in business.
