The Department of the Environment has said a decision on a long awaited sewage scheme in Kilkee will be made as soon as possible.
It follows yesterdays reports that raw sewage is still flowing into the sea at Intrinsic Bay.
In a statement to Clare FM, a spokesperson for the Department of the Environment said the "combined Kilkee and Kilrush Sewage Schemes are included in the Department’s Water Services Investment Programme 2010-2012".
