The Shannon Airport Authority is being warned of the need to deliver a viable business plan within weeks, or others will do it instead.
Shannon Councillors have given SAA Chairman Brian O’Connell 21 days to outline plans to address the decline of the airport, and failing that, they’re asking the County Manager to establish an alternative group of buisness and development agencies to formulate their own strategy.
A meeting of Clare County Council has heard the view that Shannon is being "stifled by the Dublin Airport Authority" and is now "in terminal decline", contradicting the recent comments of Airport Director Martin Moroney.
