Shannon Airport has been described as a little hero by readers of one of the world’s most prestigious travel magazines.
The annual Readers’ Awards in the Sunday Times Travel Magazine have voted the mid west airport as the best for service. Other winners include Singapore, Amsterdam and Heathrow’s Terminal 5.
One of the services which helped Shannon scoop the award was the US Customs and Border Preclearance for transatlantic flights.
