Shannon Airport has stemmed a five year decline in passenger numbers, in its first year as an independent facility.
Figures for 2013 show 1.4 million passengers flew through Clare’s International airport last year, a marginal increase of 5,200.

While 2013 saw a difficult start for Shannon as month-by-month passenger numbers decreased, the latter half made a u-turn with 22% growth recorded on transatlantic routes.
