Shannon Airport passengers will hear more than just their final boarding call over the tannoy tonight.
The airport is hosting a free concert tonight as a thank you to all those who supported it during the downturn in the aviation sector.
The Niall Toner Band, a well known bluegrass ensemble, will take to the stage at nine in the arrivals hall and while the event is free those who want to one of the 600 tickets are urged to collect them early as large numbers are expected.
Tickets are available from the Tourist Information Centre at the Airport, McLoughney’s Newsagents in Shannon Town and from tourist offices in Ennis, Limerick and Adare.
Director of Operations at Shannon Airport, Niall Maloney, says the free concert is their way of thanking people for their support during 2010.
