Shannon-Bound Flight Diverted To Boston

A Shannon-bound transatlantic jet was forced to divert to Boston last night.

Aer Lingus flight EI-110 was flying from New York to Shannon, but diverted to Boston's Logan Airport after the crew reported receiving an 'indication' in the cockpit.

The flight landed safely at around 7:30 last night, local time, and emergency crews were on standby when it touched town.

Four hours later, the flight was cleared to resume its journey but take-off was abored after the same issue arose once more.

The majority of the 115 passengers on board were accomodated in local hotels and are due to be flown to Ireland today.
