The CEO of Shannon Airport says they weren't banking on income from rental properties as part of their overall plans.
Concerns have been raised in the Dáil and by Clare County Councillors that legislation to merge the independent airport with Shannon Development will see their income streams kept separate.

This means an eleven million euro rental income, which currently goes to Shannon Development, can't be used to support Clare's International Airport.
The decision has been taken because of competition laws, but Shannon CEO Neil Pakey says he is not concerned.
