A Shannon company who are spearheading a multi million euro project to treat bone fractures are hopeful their new technology can be in place in Irish hospitals within three years.
A consortium led by PBC Biomed has been awarded €3.4 million in funding by the Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund to revolutionise the treatment of complex bone breakages.
The OsStic project aims to deliver a material that will stick broken bone tissue together following a break and may even speed up recovery time.
