Gardaí in Shannon have issued the description of a man they are searching for following an attempted robbery at a shop in town last night.
The man, armed with a kitchen knife, entered the Mace store in Ballycasey shortly after 10 o'clock last night and demanded money from the till.

However, he was challeneged by a number of customers and he then fled the scene on foot.
