Shannon Group says investment is key to providing critical infrastructure that will enable the Midwest region to develop.
Research carried out by W2 Consulting, which has just been published, shows that Shannon Airport, Shannon Commercial Properties and Shannon Heritage support 46,000 jobs, generating an economic impact of €3.6 billion euro annually.
A 150 million euro investment plan to 2021, contained in the National Development Plan, is targeting major growth between now and then, with Shannon Airport key to this, as well as access to third level institutions in the Midwest.
