Shannon Pharmacist Says Practicalities Of Administering Vaccine Still Up In The Air

A Shannon pharmacist says the practicalities of how GPs and chemists will administer the COVID-19 vaccine still need to be ironed out.

Practitioners and pharmacists will be able to five people the AstraZeneca jab from next month once it’s approved by the European Medicines Agency.

The deal is worth around 91 million euro, with government aiming to have 1.5 million people vaccinated against coronavirus nationwide by the end of this summer.
