Shannon Pool and Leisure Centre has re-opened following an 18 month closure.
The pool and leisure facilities have undergone a 1.4 million euro revamp and will open their doors to the public this afternoon.
16 full time posts and up to 8 permanent part time positions have come back on stream with the redevelopment.

The Centre was officially opened by Minister for Defence Tony Killeen at a ceremony at the premises, which now has a new skate board park, tennis courts and dance studios.
