There's been a 15 per cent rise in passenger numbers at Shannon Airport in the first half of the year.
The number of people travelling to Europe from Shannon has grown by more than half, or 54 per cent, with nine new Ryanair flights to the continent, compared to last year.

More than 650 thousand passengers passed through Shannon Airport in the first six months this year.
UK passengers are up 5 per cent and transatlantic routes are up 11 per cent.
