The search for a teenage girl seen falling into the River Shannon is resuming around now.
The 17-year-old was seen entering the water at Sarsfield Bridge in Limerick City at around half-past-two yesterday afternoon, prompting a major search and rescue operation.
Gardaí and local marine rescue teams carried out several detailed sweeps of the area throughout the afternoon and yesterday evening, assisted by the Shannon Coastguard Helicopter.
