The Tanaiste says Shannon airport will require more State funding.
Last week, when he was still Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar’s government announced just over €6 million in direct financial supports for the Airport.
The money will be used to support the installation of new baggage screening facilities, and in welcoming the announcement, a spokesperson pointed out that it would not generate any additional commercial returns.

This week, in response to questions from Sinn Féin’s Violet-Anne Wynne, Minister Varadkar said more money will be needed.
