The body of former Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon is lying in state at the parliament building in Jerusalem.
The 85 year old military commander turned politician died yesterday, he he had been in a coma for eight years.
Mr Sharon’s coffin is sitting in the plaza outside the Knesset in Jerusalem until 6pm local time for mourners to pay their respects.
His funeral and burial service will take place in the Negev desert, in southern Israel tomorrow.
