The Minister for Justice says he will raise the findings of the Smithwick report in the Dail and has apologised for any of the state’s shortcomings.
Alan Shatter made the comments after Judge Peter Smithwick found yesterday, that there was Garda collusion in the 1989 shootings of Harry Breen and Bob Buchanan in south Armagh.

They were ambushed after a leak from Dundalk Garda station to the IRA.
The UK government’s Northern Ireland Secretary Theresa Villiers has said the findings raise serious concerns.
