The number of new cars sold in Clare dropped by more than 13 percent last year.
New figures from the Society of the Irish Motor industry show that around 2,700 new vehicles were bought here in 2017 – down from 3,100 the year before.
The industry as a whole experienced a drop in sales last year, down 10% on average.
