The Irish Aviation Authority says Shannon Aiport has recorded an impressive increase in traffic numbers.
Flights through the facility were up 31.7 per cent with an average of 61 commercial daily movements.
Meanwhile passenger numbers at Shannon Airport increased by 140 per cent last month.

Management say the separation of the facility from other state bodies has directly led to the cesation of five years of decline.
This is the biggest month on month increase in over a decade at Shannon Airport.
Meanwhile the number of flight connections from Shannon to the Big Apple increases today with the launch of Delta Air Lines summer service.
The seasonal flights will operate daily throughout the summer to meet demand during peak holiday season.
