Clare County Council is preparing to put what it calls "significant resources" into Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann next year.
The local authority received a pre-budget boost when it was given 360,000 in increased government funding.

50,000 of this is going to Fleadh, while more of the money will cover 1916 commemorations, the public enhancement scheme, and the Council's payroll costs.
Council CEO Tom Coughlan says the overall value of their investment in the Fleadh is unknown, but he says it's both significant and worth it.
