Sister Of Murdered Limerick Man Speaks As US Judge Rules Against Stepmother Of Children

The sister of a Limerick man who was killed in the US earlier this year says she is relieved that an appeal over the custody of her niece and nephew went in her family's favour yesterday.

39 year old Jason Corbett died during a "domestic incident" at his home in North Carolina on August 2nd.

His wife, Molly Martens, and her father are described as "persons of interest" in his death.

In August, a US judge ruled that Jason's children – who are both Ms Marten's step children – should return to Ireland in the care of Jason's family.

Ms Martens appealed this decision but a judge ruled against her yesterday.

Speaking from the US, Jason's sister Tracey Lynch says her family are not celebrating.
