Just six fines were handed out by Gardai in Clare for breaking public health restrictions last week.
It brings the total number of fines for breaking COVID-19 guidelines in this county to 418.
Only three of the country’s 27 other Garda divisions – Dublin East, Dublin South and Westmeath – have dished out fewer punishments since they were introduced back in February.

Nationally, nearly 21,000 people have now been fined for public health breaches – the vast majority of these for what Gardai describe as leaving home without a reasonable excuse.
