Sixmilebridge Courthouse is to become home to local school children, variety groups and a Men's Shed for the area.
It's proposed that the former court facility will be leased by Clare County Council for a nominal fee to a number of groups including Sixmilebridge National School which plans to use the main court room for classes during construction of its new building.

Other rooms will be used for training courses and meetings for a local Men's Shed initiative, the housing of artefacts and memorabilia by a local historian and rehearsals for a local variety group.
Clare Councillors will be asked for their approval on a five year lease next month.
