Bill Slattery is expected to be named the new Cathaoirleach of the West Clare Municipal District today.
A district meeting takes place this afternoon and the Lahinch Councillor Mr. Slattery is set to step up from his role as Leas Cathaoirleach to replace Christy Curtin.

A new Leas Cathaoirleach will also be elected, replacing Councillor Slattery.
