There’s been a slight drop in the number of people in this county claiming the Pandemic Unemployment Payment this week.
11,202 people in Clare received the government support in their bank accounts this morning, a reduction of 39 from last week’s figure.
It coincides with a drop of over 4,000 people coming off the payment nationally – despite the same restrictions remaining in place until at least March 1st.

Department of Social Protection figures show nearly 500 people in this county have closed their PUP claim in the past two weeks to return to work.
