Nurses say there's been a slight dip in the number of people waiting on trolleys at the region's main hospital though it remains the most overcrowded in the country.
Figures from the INMO show 37 people are waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, 24 of those in the Emergency Department.
The Dooradoyle facility has been experiencing high numbers of people attending over the past fortnight, reaching a peak last Friday, when 55 people were awaiting admission.
St Vincent's in Dublin is the second busiest hospital today, where trolley numbers have reached 24.
