Car sales across County Clare have fallen, despite a small growth in the number of vehicles sold nationally.
Overall, figures released by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry reveal a 3% annual growth last month, but here in Clare there was a six per cent fall in car sales.
175 new vehicles were registered in Clare last month, compared to 186 in April of 2010.

Over three-quarters of cars sold in Clare are diesel-powered.
