There's calls for the government to legislate for exotic animals.
It follows the discovery of a loose snake in a garden in Ennis on Friday night.

Gardai were called to the scene and a young man is understood to have gotten the animal under control.
At present dog owners must obtain a licence for them however that's not the case for snakes or other larger creatures.
