Applications for social housing are likely to move away from a paper-based model towards an online system.
Clare County Council has stated that the Local Government Management Agency, which represents Councils throughout the country, has started the development of an online platform for the submission of housing applications.
This has been identified as a “key priority,” although there’s no timeframe on when it will come to pass.

However, Ennis Fianna Fáil Councillor Mark Nestor says it’s welcome news, and that recent weeks have shown the need for this system.
