Sod turned on new 13 million euro Mid West hospital unit.

Cystic Fibrosis sufferers in Clare, Limerick and Tipperary have received a huge boost today as the sod is turned on the development of a dedicated adult unit for the Mid West.

It’s all part of a 13 million euro project for the diagnosis and care of a number of life threatening conditions including Cystic Fibrosis, Breast Cancer and Stroke.

The 6 storey building marks the largest single collaboration ever by voluntary organisations in the Irish medical services.  It will be located on the grounds of Limerick Regional Hospital is set to be completed in early 2014.
