Clare councillors have called a special meeting of the local authority to discuss the office of public works' response to storm repairs here.
It follows the sending of a letter by the body to the Clohaninchy action group to say coastal protection works there are not in the government's storm repair plans.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday ahead of a meeting of Clare Council executive with Minister Simon Harris – it's not known when that gathering will occur.
There's been calls for a protest in Dublin by residents in Clohaninchy. This has been backed by Cllr Michael Hillery, he says at this stage whatever it takes needs to get the work done, needs to be tried.
