Bord na gCon, the State greyhound racing board, has been advised to sell a site it owns in Meelick in a bid to ease financial troubles.
The Irish Times reports that a consultancy report prepared for the group warns that it faces significant challenges financially, as well making a range of other criticisms.
The document also highlights what are described as 'deficiencies' in the decision-making process leading to Bord na gCon's construction of a €23 million stadium in Limerick.
The group is now being advised to sell a number of sites, including their old Henry Street Head office in Limerick, land at Meelick, and the sport’s flagship track at Harold's Cross in Dublin.
