Clare’s fire service has become the first in Ireland to be equipped with the next generation of protective equipment.
The county’s fire service has been presented with 170 sets of the PBI Gold Firekit, which offers protection from fire and flames, and is also more visible at night-time.
The kits came at a total cost of 120 thousand euro, and is the latest advance for the county’s fire service.
