A mid-level status orange weather alert has been issued for Clare.
Met éireann has forcast winds of up to 75 kilometres per hour in parts of the county overnight tonight and gusts of up to 130 kilometres per hour.

The alert remains in place from 10 o'clock tonight until 8 o'clock tomorrow morning.
Exposed coastal areas are expected to be the worst affected.
