Stay for Two Mile Inn welcomed

A stay on the closure of the Two Mile Inn has been described as a major boost for both the local economy and tourist sector.

The iconic hotel in Meelick was due to shut its doors yesterday with the loss of 15 jobs but the premises was given a reprieve by the receiver and will stay open for business until further notice.

Its been under receivership since 2008 while a buyer to take over the business was sought and Local Councillor Cathal Crowe hopes that the lifeline can be made permanent
