Front page photographs of storms battering Lahinch's shore's this winter are reported to have attracted tourists this summer.
Business people in the area say they are hopeful the severe weather may turn out to be a positive for the town.

However they're are calls for more promotion of the county as a holiday location – with some entrepreneurs reporting a perception that – areas hit by the storms are closed off to visitors.
John McCarthy of Lahinch Summer School says he's witnessed an increase in visitors and is crediting it to coverage of the storms.
