Up to half of Clare pharmacists involved in the dispute with the HSE over the community drugs scheme are expected to recommence dispensing medicine to medical card holders.
The Irish Pharmacy Union has called on members to resume normal services today following an emergency meeting in Dublin last night.
However it says the dispute over the money they receive under the state drugs schemes isn’t over.

The row has affected patients right across the county with those in rural parts of North and West Clare the worst hit.
