151 groups have registered to form part of the county's new Public Participation Network.
The groups, from Clare's community and voluntary, social inclusion and environmental sectors, are looking to form part of the Network which aims to enhance the public's role in forming local government policy.

A county-wide network will be established, as well as one in each of the four municipal authorities in Ennis, Shannon, Killaloe and West Clare.
The first in a series of meetings takes place in the Temple Gate Hotel in Ennis tomorrow, with meetings in Shannon, Ennistymon and Killaloe to follow over the coming days.
