Clare businesses are asking the county’s shoppers to support local companies during the crucial post-Christmas sales.
The Ennis-based Retail Excellence Ireland group has said that sales in the run-up to Christmas were roughly equal with last year, but it’s hoped this will pick up as bargain hunters seek discounts.
In Ennis, over 1500 car park spaces are being made available on- and off-street, and these will be free to use until noon each day until January 6th.
Meanwhile, in Kilrush, 2 hours of free parking is allowed in all designated parking areas until the end of December.
