Supreme Court ruling due on Fleming appeal

Marie Fleming, the 59-year-old terminally ill woman who wishes to end her life, will find out today if she’s won her legal challenge to the law on assisted suicide.

Seven judges of the Supreme Court heard her appeal against the High Court’s refusal to relax the ban. It found the law is in the public interest  and does not disproportionately interfere with Marie Fleming’s personal rights.
