Surge in Violence in Iraq Continues

The UN is condemning a surge in violence in Iraq, which has seen Islamist militants seize four of the country's biggest cities.

Half a million people have fled their homes from the Al-Qaeda-linked group ISIS, which is now planning to march on the capital Baghdad.

 

Iraq's Prime Minister Nouri Maliki, has vowed to fight back against the insurgents and says he'll punish troops who've abandoned their posts.
