A comprehensive new survey of birds along the Shannon Estuary is to be carried out.
Clare County Council have joined other local authorities, as well as Shannon Group and Shannon Foynes Port Copmany, in planning the year-long survey of over 1,200 hectares of land in Clare, Limerick and Kerry.
Sites in Clare which will be surveyed include Moneypoint and Innismurry/Cahericon.

The study will examine the area’s bird population and habitats, and is being undertaken by McCarthy Keville O’Sullivan on behalf of the Shannon Estuary Strategic Infrastructure Framework Plan
