A donation of personal protective equipment is being made this afternoon by the Taiwanese community to Raheen Community Hospital in Tuamgraney.
At the beginning of the pandemic, PPE became difficult to source for hospitals and nursing homes, and while this demand has eased, greater quantities of the equipment will be needed for the remainder of the COVID crisis.
Former Clare Fianna Fáil TD Timmy Dooley says today’s donation was secured after he had liaised with members of the Taiwanese business community in Ireland, and it will be handed over this afternoon.
