Taoiseach hold first talks with British PM

Both the Taoiseach and Tanaiste are re-iterating that Ireland is not prepared to increase its corporation tax rate.

Enda Kenny has told a conference of investors in London that such a move would be ‘self defeating’.

He was speaking at an event organised by Bloomberg – during which he also insisted Ireland will meet its obligations under the terms of the EU/IMF bailout deal.
