Thousands are expected to attend the Funeral Mass this morning of the late Eithne Kenny, mother of Taoiseach Enda Kenny.
Mrs Kenny, who died on Saturday at the age of 93, will be laid to rest at Islandeady Cemetery in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, following 11 o’clock Mass at the Church of the Holy Rosary.
As a mark of respect to the Taoiseach, the British-Irish Council Summit which was due to take place today, has been postponed.

The British Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, who was due to visit Ireland for the summit, has cancelled his visit.
