The Taoiseach has indicated that recommendations made in the Mid West Taskforce’s report are unlikely to be implemented till after the budget.
The taskforce was set up in the wake of the Dell jobs blow and predicts a massive surge in dole queues in the region if action isn’t taken.
This includes heavy investment in roads, Shannon Airport and community schemes.
